Hello, I'm Thomas. I'm 22 years old and I live in Belgium [1]. I live there with my parents and brother, in a nice house in Herentals, a small city in the province of Antwerp. I got a Professional Bachelor's degree in electronics and ICT at the De Nayer Institute. Electronics have fascinated me since I was young. Most recently embedded and linux userland software tops the list.

When I'm doing Linux, electronics or microcontrollers at home I usually listen to alternative music provided by an old amplifier and a set of old speakers.

I like films and comedy in the genre of 'Monty Python's Flying Circus', 'The Black Adder'. That's it for the more international-known comedy, we've got some brilliant Flemish comedy groups/shows here in Belgium too: 'Neveneffecten', 'In De Gloria', and Bart de Pauw's list of creations, of which 'Buiten de Zone' is the greatest.

Once in a while I watch American TV shows. Of all animation/cartoons I watch the classics (eg:the Simpsons) never grow old, I like Futurama and Family Guy more though. Other then those and the occasional movie and documentary the only things I enjoy on TV are Belgian humoristic programs.

If you find me reading a book, it might be a weird sci-fi book like The hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy or some nerdy book like Just for fun, but most probably it's a technical book about computer science or programming. Strangely enough I'm not familiar with startrek or anime and I never understood the big buzz about the starwars movies.

Belgium is located in Europe, bordered to the north by the Netherlands, to the east by Germany and to the south and the west by France. A small strip borders the chanel to the UK. Although its surface area of 32,545 km2 makes it a small country, its location has made it the economic and urban nerve center of Europe.
